Job Title: US HUD Audit

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced audit professional with 2+ years of hands-on experience in US GAAP HUD Audits, also known as Multifamily Housing Audits, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Audits, Affordable Housing Audits, or Low-Income Housing Audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HUD compliance requirements and experience working with clients in the affordable housing sector.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct audits in accordance with US GAAP and HUD guidelines for multifamily housing entities.
• Review and assess financial statements, compliance reports, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with HUD regulations, including REAC submissions and Uniform Financial Reporting Standards.
• Perform audits related to Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and other affordable housing programs.
• Collaborate with clients to resolve audit findings and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on changes in HUD regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications:
• Bachelors or masters degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2 to 6 years of experience in HUD audits or affordable housing audits.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, HUD audit protocols, and LIHTC compliance.
• Experience with audit software and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with REAC submissions and HUD REAC protocols.
• Experience working with nonprofit housing organizations or public housing authorities.
• Ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously and meet deadlines.
