Job Description

Our client is looking for someone who designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.

As a member of the team, Enterprise Applications, the software engineer provides:

Technical support for the client’s company, develop new applications and implement vendor solutions, as well as enhance and maintain existing applications in SASS.

Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performance. Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code meets best practice guidelines, unit testing, security and scalability and maintainability guidelines.

Troubleshoot production support issues, identify the root cause issue, and work to solve the problem permanently.

Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and should be able to clearly articulate the implications of design/architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology leadership.

Drive a quality mindset within the team and demonstrates ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Design and implement innovative solutions, reusable components, and patterns, MVC frameworks and libraries to meet business needs.

Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills with strong aptitude in appreciating the focus, scope, and impact of the work in a much wider and forward-looking software landscape. Ability to demonstrate on-time delivery, excellent communication, and a positive go-getter attitude.

Top Skills’ Details
• Proven experience with Java/J2EE, Oracle and/ or SQL Server or other databases ; Oracle development tools such as Toad, SQL Developer; Git/Subversion version control systems ; Automated unit testing technologies (Such as JUnit , or similar).
• Proven experience with MVC frameworks such as Spring, Groovy/Grails; Experience with data integration platforms such as Talend.
• Proven experience with Web development technologies using IntelliJ or Eclipse and web containers . Experience evaluating new tools, technologies, vendor products for possible implementation, and ability working in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent organization skills, specifically with assigned tasks and use of time. Experience with Agile Methodology, XML/JSON and developing SOAP and REST webservices, Maven, Gradle, Jira, Confluence .
