Job Details

  • Location: East Providence, RI
  • Salary Range: $155/year to $200/year (negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors).
  • Own the end-to-end architectural direction and enable multiple teams to move quickly and efficiently.
  • Define contracts, events and guardrails to make the ecosystem observable, resilient and cost-efficient.
  • Translate operational requirements from Ops and CS into platform improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide domain leadership and technical strategy across manufacturing (IMFG, Tulip apps), fulfilment, shipping and CS tooling.
  • Lead cross-team initiatives to increase throughput and reduce cost-to-serve.
  • Improve observability and operability across the flow from “buy” to “delivered,” reducing WISMO and manual interventions.
  • Enable a 360° order view and action capabilities for CS and Ops by standardizing data pipelines.
  • Surface the right aggregates in Backstage and related tools.
  • Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers across Nexus and Forge.
  • Facilitate design reviews and workshops.
  • Resolve technical conflicts and align stakeholders on solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience.

Skills

  • Experience with Tulip Interfaces.
  • Experience in manufacturing and product focused environments.
  • Warehouse Management software experience or experience within an Order Fulfillment Network.
  • Experience with AWS cloud, Typescript, and API Gateway.
  • Expertise in designing service and event contracts, data flows and reliability patterns.
