Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Front End Software Engineer to join our ambitious eCommerce team. Efficient user experience will be key as you build administrative web UIs for our internal and customer agents. If identifying opportunities and adopting new technologies to solve problems excites you; then you will revel in this role!

This role reports to the Principal Engineer. You will have the opportunity to interact with Product Managers and stakeholders to convert their vision into a technical solution, and advise on the scope and feasibility of complex product requirements.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

At Tilia, we celebrate all the dimensions of diversity, including diversity of experience. We recognize that candidates applying for this role will be most successful if they bring the following with them:
• 5+ years in a software engineer role utilizing frontend frameworks
• Strong experience with React
• Advanced understanding of Javascript, Linux, Node, CSS, DOM, Web and Information Security concepts
• Experience with GraphQL, REST, Authentication / Authorization concepts, SQL and Typescript preferred
• Solid coding practices including peer code reviews, unit testing, a preference for agile development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals
• Interest in working collaboratively, including pair programming, with a diverse team of amazingly talented and fun people in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to cultivate a positive company culture that values cross-team collaboration, transparency, diversity, inclusion, and trust
• Experience working for and thriving in remote-first companies
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
