Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Software Engineer to join our innovative team in Chicago. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance software systems that power Google’s products and services. You will work within a dynamic team, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver impactful solutions. Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in relevant programming languages.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and disseminate knowledge.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues across multiple services and levels of the stack.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.

Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or Go.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Angular) if applicable to the role.
• Experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
• Demonstrated experience with full-stack development.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Prior experience working in an agile development environment.
