Software Engineer Summer Intern (C++, Linux)

Job Description

Join KLA as a Software Engineering Intern to work on machine control and inspection software for advanced mask inspection systems in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:
• Gain hands-on experience with machine control and inspection software used in advanced mask inspection systems.
• Collaborate with engineers across electrical, mechanical, optical, algorithm, and software disciplines.
• Explore system-level solutions and contribute to meaningful projects.
• Work in a supportive environment focused on impactful technology development.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Graduation expected in 2026 or 2027 (ideally in the penultimate year of study).
• Experience building applications in C++ programming language.
• Exposure to scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
• Interest in software design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Some experience or coursework involving multi-threaded or multi-process programming.
• Familiarity with Linux or experience using it in coursework or projects.
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to team success.

Compensation & Benefits
• Base pay range: $35.00 – $47.00 per hour, depending on education level (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
