Job Overview

CyberPoint is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer II (Level 2) with an active TS/SCI + Full-Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance to design, develop, and enhance complex software systems supporting mission-critical environments.

This role combines technical leadership and hands-on engineering, working on large-scale data systems, real-time processing platforms, advanced algorithms, and integrated enterprise applications.

This is a 100% onsite position requiring an active security clearance.

Salary Range: $115,000 – $158,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements and translate them into system design and performance specifications
  • Design, develop, test, and enhance complex software systems
  • Integrate existing software into new or updated environments
  • Debug and resolve software defects
  • Develop performance-optimized algorithms with strict timing constraints
  • Build applications using C, C++, C#, Java, and Python
  • Develop solutions for Windows and UNIX environments
  • Lead and mentor development teams
  • Perform quality control and technical reviews
  • Design and implement complex database interfaces and queries
  • Develop and execute test procedures
  • Collaborate with system and hardware engineers
  • Implement DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using:
    • Docker
    • Terraform
    • Ansible
    • Jenkins
    • Artifactory
    • Packer
    • Bamboo
  • Coordinate installations and verify system operational readiness

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph (FSP)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
    (Equivalent experience may be considered)
  • Minimum 14 years of software engineering experience
  • Expertise in at least one major language (C, C++, C#, Java, Python)
  • Strong Windows and UNIX development experience
  • Experience leading and mentoring development teams
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools and CI/CD automation
  • Experience with large-scale data systems and performance optimization
