Software Engineer II – Mainframe – SAN ANTONIO 💰 Salary: $93,770 – 179,240 per year

📝 Rquirements:
– A Bachelor’s Degree or 4 additional years of experience beyond the minimum requirement can substitute for a degree OR an approved certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT (Veterans for IT), or eFIT (Employees for IT)
– 4 years of software development experience showing in-depth technical expertise within specific disciplines/technologies
– 2 years of experience delivering technology solutions during all phases of the software systems and application development lifecycle, including leading code/design reviews
– Basic understanding of one or more of the following: Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, and Python
– Developing level of discernment in business operations, risk management, industry practices, and emerging trends
– Experience addressing production issues through troubleshooting applications and systems
– Ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions
– Basic understanding of cloud technologies and tools
👩💻👨💻 Your responsibilities are:
– Design, develop, code, and test intricate technical solutions
– Investigate and resolve complex application and system issues, as well as production problems using troubleshooting techniques
– Continuously enhance operations by performing complex systems analysis and recommending modifications in policies and procedures
– Prepare and install intricate solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
– Follow the software development lifecycle and participate in design reviews while learning essential system design principles
– Mentor junior engineers and may begin guiding peer engineers; review team members’ code
– Ensure risks related to business activities are effectively identified, evaluated, monitored, and controlled in line with risk and compliance policies and procedures
