We are a food/restaurant brand looking to grow our online visibility, local presence, customer traffic, and catering inquiries.
We need a skilled Social Media Manager who also has strong expertise in Local SEO and targeted SEO to help us rank, build authority, and generate consistent leads.
This is a long-term monthly role for someone who can handle both Social Media + SEO with a results-focused mindset.
Role Overview:
We are hiring a Social Media Manager + SEO Specialist who can:
• Grow our online presence
• Improve our local Google SEO ranking – website
• Increase dine-in traffic
• Increase catering inquiries
• Create engaging food content
• Manage regular posting and engagement
• Improve our search visibility for key food categories
This role is $100 per month (retainer) with potential for long-term collaboration.
Responsibilities:
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
• Manage Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Google Business Profile
• Create weekly content calendars
• Post content consistently (photos, reels, stories, specials, promotions)
• Research trending food content and create posts accordingly
• Write captions, hashtags, and engaging call-to-actions
• Run local engagement strategies to boost reach
• Track analytics to adjust strategy
• Promote menu items, daily specials, catering options, new launches
CONTENT CREATION:
• Create high-quality food reels, pictures, and short clips using existing assets
• Use trending audio & food trends to increase visibility
• Design promotional posts, menu highlights, offers, and customer reviews
• Optimize content for local discovery
LOCAL SEO & TARGETED SEO:
• Optimize restaurant’s Google Business Profile
• Improve ranking for local keywords like:
• “[Cuisine] near me”
• “Best restaurants in [City]”
• “Catering services in [City]”
• “Takeout / Delivery near me”
• Add posts, updates, and images to Google Maps
• Build NAP consistency (Name, Address, Phone citations)
• Get local backlinks and reviews
• Fix SEO issues on website (if applicable)
• Improve on-page SEO for:
• Menu pages
• Catering pages
• Location pages
• Optimize for Google Maps Pack ranking
CATERING GROWTH STRATEGY:
• Create targeted content highlighting catering
• Promote catering menus and event packages
• Run local outreach to nearby offices and groups (organic methods)
• Boost awareness for catering through reels, stories, and Google posts
• Track and improve catering inquiries
Required Skills:
• Strong experience in Local SEO and Google Business optimization
• Proven record of increasing restaurant visibility
• Experience managing SMM for food/restaurant brands
• Ability to research and use trending food reels
• Great at caption writing, hashtags, CTAs
• Knowledge of SEO tools (preferred):
• Google Search Console
• SEMrush / Ahrefs
• Google Business Tools
• Ability to design simple, attractive posts
• Good English communication
• Consistent and detail-oriented
Deliverables (Monthly)
• 16-20 social media posts (mix of reels + photos + stories)
• Weekly content calendar
• Weekly Google Business updates
• Monthly SEO optimization for keywords
• Monthly analytics report (SEO + social media)
• Increase in local search ranking
• Increase in catering inquiries
• Increase in restaurant foot traffic
Compensation:
$100 per month (fixed monthly retainer)
Performance-based bonuses available if catering leads grow.
