📝 Role Overview

We are seeking a highly intelligent and innovative Frontend Software Engineer (Mobile) to help build and scale Sleeper’s mobile and web products used by millions of dedicated users.

Sleeper’s mobile platform is built using React Native, modernized with TypeScript, and leverages leading packages such as:

  • React Query
  • React Navigation
  • Reanimated

This role focuses on delivering lightning-fast performance, high reliability, and exceptional user experience at scale.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with designers to translate user requirements into technical specifications
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using React Native and TypeScript
  • Develop reusable UI components and structured component hierarchies
  • Implement UI logic using React features (hooks, state management, lifecycle methods)
  • Integrate frontend components with backend services via RESTful or GraphQL APIs
  • Troubleshoot complex performance issues, socket connections, and caching challenges
  • Optimize app performance for speed and responsiveness
  • Stay updated with React, mobile best practices, and accessibility standards

👤 Who You Are

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of mobile/web development experience (frontend-focused)
  • Strong JavaScript expertise with professional experience implementing scalable systems
  • Deep understanding of React Native architecture and mobile performance optimization
  • Proactive and ownership-driven mindset
  • Comfortable thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Passionate about building world-class consumer products
