Job Title: SEO Specialist – Contract

As an SEO Specialist, you will work closely with UX teams, designers, developers, strategists, and project managers to ensure efficient and successful execution of digital experience programs. You will manage ongoing retainer-based SEO programs and support new consulting engagements. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in technical and on-page SEO, with the ability to develop plans that help clients meet business goals, synthesize data, and collaborate with technology teams to drive successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute on-page optimization strategies to achieve organic visibility
  • Develop website technical audits to identify SEO concerns
  • Review website server logs, crawl reports, and analytics reports to improve indexation
  • Review web analytics data to analyze visitor behavior and trends and develop next steps
  • Work with internal resources to prepare, plan, and execute link building and content marketing strategies
  • Coordinate with website development, SEM, design, business development teams, and senior management
  • Collaborate with content and outreach teams to identify opportunities to create, distribute, and promote web content

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of SEO experience
  • 2+ years of experience at an agency or consulting firm
  • Familiarity with website analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends
  • Knowledge of factors that influence search engine rankings
  • Ability to identify and define keyword opportunities for optimization
  • Knowledge of SEO software such as SEMRush, BrightEdge, and ScreamingFrog
  • Experience with paid search (Google AdWords, Bing Ads) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Docs
  • Experience with Agile methodology (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change
  • Organized with special attention to details
