Overview

We are seeking an experienced SS&C Tradex and SS&C APX Developer to support the customization, enhancement, and performance optimization of investment operations platforms. The role involves working on systems that power trading, accounting, portfolio management, reconciliation, and reporting.

The ideal candidate combines strong SQL expertise, solid Java development skills, and deep knowledge of the SS&C ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Development & Customization

• Customize and maintain workflows, modules, and configurations within SS&C Tradex and SS&C APX
• Implement new features aligned with investment operations processes
• Optimize system performance and maintain platform stability

Data & Database Engineering

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database logic
• Design efficient data models and transformation pipelines
• Ensure high data accuracy across systems

Integration Development

• Build Java-based utilities and modules to extend system capabilities
• Develop and maintain REST and SOAP integrations
• Integrate with:
  • CRM platforms
  • Data warehouses
  • Trading systems
  • Internal tools

Production Support

• Troubleshoot production issues across trading and accounting systems
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term fixes
• Support operational teams with technical solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • SS&C Tradex
  • SS&C APX
• Advanced SQL skills (performance tuning, complex joins, stored procedures)
• Strong understanding of Java and object-oriented programming
• Experience building and integrating REST / SOAP APIs
• Familiarity with investment operations workflows, including:
  • Trade lifecycle
  • Settlements
  • NAV calculations
  • Corporate actions
  • Reconciliation processes

Nice to Have

• Experience with ETL or integration tools
• Knowledge of reporting tools such as:
  • SSRS
  • Crystal Reports
  • APX Reporting
• Exposure to multi-asset portfolios
• Experience with cloud migration or modernization projects
