🔹 What You’ll Do

  • Build and run experiments that drive the growth of Coinbase’s retail products
  • Design scalable, high-performance systems to solve novel problems using modern cloud technologies
  • Articulate long-term technical strategies for backend systems
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn product vision into reality
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code for production systems
  • Maintain and scale services in a service-oriented architecture

🔹 Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services
  • Expertise in service-oriented architecture
  • Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code
  • Passion for building an open financial system

🔹 Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience launching products 0 → 1
  • Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with Blockchain technologies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, ENS, dApps)
  • Experience with Golang, Ruby, Rails, Docker, Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB
  • Background in fintech, high-reliability, or secure systems
  • Crypto-forward experience, including interacting with on-chain assets
