We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer with 5–6 years of professional experience to help build and scale modern healthcare platforms. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy designing reliable backend systems, working with microservices, and solving complex data and performance challenges in high-traffic environments.

Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing scalable services that power healthcare applications. You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and other engineers to build secure, high-performance systems capable of processing large volumes of healthcare data and transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
  • Architect and implement microservices-based systems
  • Build APIs and services that support high transaction volumes
  • Integrate and manage message brokers such as Kafka or SQS
  • Work with large datasets across multiple database systems
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Participate in system design discussions and architecture decisions
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Troubleshoot production issues and improve system stability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment

Required Skills

  • 5–6 years of backend development experience
  • Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot
  • Experience designing Microservices Architecture
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka, AWS SQS, or similar messaging systems
  • Solid experience with databases such as:
    • PostgreSQL
    • MongoDB
    • Redis
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful API development
  • Experience with Git and modern development workflows
  • Understanding of performance optimization and scalability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on healthcare or health-tech platforms
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of security and compliance considerations in healthcare systems
  • Exposure to event-driven architecture
