Role Overview
The Senior IAM Engineer will design, develop, and maintain the IAM Self-Service Portal, bridging frontend and backend systems while incorporating DevSecOps principles. You will lead a team of engineers, mentor colleagues, and drive adoption of modern engineering practices for secure, high-quality applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of up to 10 engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Design and implement responsive, visually appealing web interfaces using React, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks.
- Develop and maintain backend integrations with REST APIs, LDAP/Active Directory, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Adopt DevSecOps practices including Behavior Driven Development, testing, and security best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams, IT partners, and business stakeholders to deliver functional, secure solutions.
- Monitor and optimize application performance, establishing metrics to measure efficiency and impact.
- Recruit, train, and retain high-performing engineering talent.
- Report progress, challenges, and technical concepts to senior management and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in full-stack software engineering with leadership experience.
- 5+ years coding in React, TypeScript (ES10+), and modern CSS frameworks.
- 2+ years experience with REST APIs, JSON, LDAP, Active Directory, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud platforms (Azure, AKS, AWS, GCP).
- 2+ years working with OAuth2.0 and other security essentials.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based technologies (Azure, GCP) and security infrastructure (F5, DataPower, firewalls, certificates).
- Experience in healthcare industry software with understanding of health care value chain.
- Exposure to SAFE, Kanban, Lean, and DevSecOps practices.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).
