Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer to lead the technical relaunch of a formerly VC-backed B2B SaaS product management platform. The platform is recognized for its award-winning UX/design and has a strong brand presence in the product management community.

The ideal candidate has a keen eye for design, strong experience with Java backend and React frontend development, and can guide the platform through deployment, maintenance, and ongoing feature development.

This is a part-time, long-term opportunity (~10 hours/week) with competitive hourly compensation based on experience and portfolio.

Scope of Work

• Audit the existing frontend and backend codebase to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Review platform architecture and recommend improvements.
• Set up local and cloud environments for development and testing.
• Deploy the platform to staging and production on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Configure domain, SSL, and database connections.
• Provide recommendations for short-term fixes and long-term enhancements.
• Post-deployment work: ongoing maintenance, optimization, and new feature development.

Technical Requirements

Backend

• Java (Spring Boot) expertise
• Experience with GraphQL APIs
• Knowledge of B2B SaaS architectures

Frontend

• Strong experience with React
• Familiarity with modern frontend workflows, state management, and responsive design

Database & Cloud

• MySQL database management and optimization
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) deployment experience

Other Skills

• Code auditing and debugging
• Full-stack deployment experience
• Attention to design and UX considerations
• Ability to recommend scalable and maintainable improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience relaunching SaaS platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
• Experience with freemium and subscription-based SaaS models
• Strong communication skills for remote collaboration
