This role is designed for an experienced front-end engineer who can lead UI development efforts, mentor junior developers, and contribute to building scalable and high-performance web applications.

Job Description

The Senior UI & Front-End Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing modern, responsive, and highly interactive user interfaces for enterprise-grade applications. The role requires deep expertise in front-end technologies and the ability to translate complex business requirements into intuitive digital experiences.

You will work closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver seamless and visually engaging applications. The role also involves contributing to architectural decisions for front-end systems, optimizing performance, and ensuring maintainable and scalable codebases.

As a senior developer, you will also be expected to guide best practices in UI development, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior team members. Your contributions will directly impact the quality, usability, and performance of client-facing applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Lead the implementation of UI components and reusable front-end architecture.
  • Translate UI/UX designs from tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch into functional web applications.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless communication between front-end and backend systems.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on front-end development best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards across the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies.
  • Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG standards) across all applications.
  • Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and agile development processes.
  • Stay updated with emerging front-end technologies and propose improvements to existing systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
  • Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Hands-on experience with React.js, Angular, or Vue.js frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development principles.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and asynchronous data handling.
  • Proficiency in Git and version control workflows.
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and design-to-code conversion.
  • Experience with front-end build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or Babel.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and debugging tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
  • Knowledge of state management libraries like Redux or Zustand.
  • Understanding of micro frontend architecture.
  • Experience working in enterprise or SaaS-based applications.
