Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Lead the electrical design on multi-discipline new construction and retrofit projects. Develop, review and audit basis of design, construction specifications, construction drawings, 3D design and construction models, submittals, and electrical engineering system study reports (short circuit/load flow study, arc flash study, etc)Perform value engineering which utilizes alternative means and methods but keep the functionality of the systemsPerform technical bid evaluation for the electrical equipment and electrical installation proposalsAssist project control team to develop, review, update electrical design, procurement, and installation schedule to achieve the target Start of ProductionReview field observation reports from the electrical contractors and perform periodic field investigationsPresent technical material for review by technical and non-technical audiencesParticipate to develop the electrical design guidelines and discuss improvement initiativesQualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering5+ years of relevant professional experience for buildings-related design projectsBattery manufacturing, semi-conductor manufacturing, petrochemical plant design experience is plus. In depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, etcAbility to manage projects and prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skillsExcellent communication and presentation skills to effectively deliver findings and recommendations to cross-functional teamsProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SKM/ETAP/Easy Power
