Senior Data Scientist – Machine Learning

Join Circle and help build the future of digital finance. As the first ML-focused Data Science hire, you’ll tackle high-impact challenges across fraud detection, risk modeling, and blockchain analytics while shaping the company’s machine learning strategy.

🔹 What You’ll Do
• Develop and productionize machine learning models to detect illicit transactions and actors
• Build models to optimize treasury reserves and reduce systemic risk
• Partner with product, treasury, and engineering teams to deliver scalable data solutions
• Analyze blockchain activity to generate insights into trading behavior and ecosystem dynamics
• Create data pipelines, metrics, dashboards, and analytical frameworks
• Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership

🔹 What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics (3+ years in machine learning)
• Strong expertise in ML theory and real-world deployment
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R
• Experience productionizing ML models end-to-end
• Excellent analytical thinking and stakeholder communication skills

🔹 Nice to Have
• Experience in fraud detection, KYC, sanctions screening, treasury, or blockchain analytics
• Background in crypto or fintech data science environments

💰 Salary Range: $147,500 – $195,000 + bonus + equity + benefits
