Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Software Developer (Backend) to join our Incentives Development Team. In this role, you will help build and enhance the Varicent Incentives platform, a modern, scalable single-page web application supporting data-intensive use cases.
You will collaborate with developers, designers, and data scientists to deliver reliable, high-quality features that directly impact customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance backend features supporting platform growth and client needs.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a knowledge-sharing environment.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best engineering practices.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing systems for performance and reliability.
- Work with modern tools, frameworks, and open-source technologies where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of backend development experience, preferably with data-intensive systems.
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend language: C#, Java, or C++.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, such as:
- EC2, S3, Lambda
- RDS / Redshift
- DynamoDB
- Solid understanding of ELT / ETL concepts and large-scale data challenges.
- Strong software design fundamentals and commitment to clean code.
- Excellent communication skills with English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Must be based in Mexico.
