Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer (Backend) to join our Incentives Development Team. In this role, you will help build and enhance the Varicent Incentives platform, a modern, scalable single-page web application supporting data-intensive use cases.

You will collaborate with developers, designers, and data scientists to deliver reliable, high-quality features that directly impact customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance backend features supporting platform growth and client needs.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best engineering practices.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing systems for performance and reliability.
  • Work with modern tools, frameworks, and open-source technologies where applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of backend development experience, preferably with data-intensive systems.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one backend language: C#, Java, or C++.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, such as:
    • EC2, S3, Lambda
    • RDS / Redshift
    • DynamoDB
  • Solid understanding of ELT / ETL concepts and large-scale data challenges.
  • Strong software design fundamentals and commitment to clean code.
  • Excellent communication skills with English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
  • Must be based in Mexico.
