Senior Android Engineer

Job Description

In this role as a Senior Android Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality applications and features using your expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Coroutines. Your role will involve setting architecture, quality standards, and best coding practices to ensure top-notch performance and user experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and support your team in achieving their goals.
• *Key Responsibilities:**
– Lead the architecture, design, and development of applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Coroutines.
– Own technical decisions related to frameworks, libraries, patterns, and CI/CD processes.
– Define and enforce architecture and quality standards, as well as best coding practices.
– Collaborate closely with product management and design teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.
– Coach and develop engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing activities.
– Drive performance benchmarking, monitoring, and optimization efforts.
– Work on product development to deliver a best-in-class mobile application.
• *Qualifications Required:**
– 5+ years of experience as an Android developer.
– Expert-level knowledge of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Coroutines.
– Proven track record of shipping high-quality apps.
– Strong affinity for design and UX, with excellent UI implementation skills.
– Familiarity with mobile app accessibility requirements.
– Self-directed, analytical, highly responsible, and a team player.
– Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
– University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

In addition to the above requirements, the following capabilities are desirable:
– Strong understanding of CI/CD process optimization with tools like Bitrise or GitHub Actions.
– Experience with A/B Testing and Feature Flags.
– Certifications in related fields are preferred.
– Experience with similar mass customer mobile app products and platforms is an advantage.,
