Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Clarkson Law Firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal with strong Connecticut e-filing skills to join their growing plaintiff-side class action team. The role involves providing clerical and research support to attorneys, including document preparation, client interviews, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities
• Perform e-filing in Connecticut state and federal courts (experience in CA a plus).
• Drafting correspondence
• Assisting with deposition preparation
• Creating shell legal documents for motions, other filings, and discovery
• Organizing and maintaining case and research files
• Assisting with trial and hearing preparation
• Maintaining billable hour records
• Staying up to date on court procedural rules
• Maintaining attorneys’ calendars with absolute precision
• Scheduling meetings and travel
• Maintaining expense and budget reports
• Interfacing with court personnel, clients, and co-counsel
• Other duties as assigned
Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years of paralegal experience
• 2+ years of e-filing experience in CT state and federal court (CA a strong plus)
• Plaintiff-side class action experience, ideally in the areas of consumer protection
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to collaborate with a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Facility with standard office programs (Adobe, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work overtime as necessary
• Responsible, prompt, courteous, and helpful
• Experience in CA e-filing
