Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Backend Java Developer to join our team for a long-term remote engagement. The ideal candidate has strong experience in backend engineering, database optimization, and performance tuning, and can work independently within a distributed team environment.

Required Skills

• Solid proficiency in Java
• Strong understanding of application performance optimization
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle
• Ability to write efficient queries and optimize database performance

Bonus Skills

• Experience with JPA / Hibernate
• Familiarity with Jboss
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Exposure to AWS services such as EC2 and S3

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services
• Write optimized database queries and manage data efficiently
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement improvements
• Troubleshoot production and system issues
• Collaborate with remote engineering teams
• Follow best practices in coding, testing, and documentation
