This is a fully remote, long-term opportunity for an experienced backend developer who is comfortable working with distributed teams.

Role Overview

We are looking for a strong Backend Developer with solid experience in Java to help build, maintain, and optimize backend systems.
You will work closely with our engineering team to deliver scalable, reliable services and continuously improve performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services in Java
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Work with relational databases and write efficient queries
  • Collaborate with remote team members on architecture and improvements
  • Follow best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java backend development
  • Solid understanding of performance optimization
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle Database
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup
  • Good communication and accountability

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Hibernate / JPA
  • Cloud exposure such as Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3
  • Containerization experience with Docker
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes
  • Experience working with JBoss
