About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Proposals Specialist to support the Industrial, EPC, and Data Center market segments across the U.S. In this role, you will develop complex, strategic proposals by analyzing RFP documentation and aligning solutions with customer requirements and ABB’s business objectives.

Your goal will be to produce clean, competitive, compliant, and compelling proposals that balance market competitiveness, profitability, and customer needs while ensuring executable project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality proposals aligned with ABB standards and processes
  • Focus on high-probability, high-profit opportunities within the Commercial Contractor segment
  • Collaborate with factory proposal teams, application engineers, product managers, and sales teams
  • Participate in project strategy and risk meetings to ensure alignment and success
  • Identify challenges early and coordinate cross-functional solutions
  • Support project management teams to ensure awarded projects are executable and profitable
  • Maintain clear and effective communication across Electrification Products U.S. teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering/STEM preferred) from an accredited institution
  • Strong technical expertise in electrical distribution systems and industry standards
  • Knowledge of ABB product portfolio and configuration tools (e.g., ABB Empower) preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical distribution or related industry
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales support, quotations, or proposal development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong collaboration abilities
  • Proficiency with digital collaboration tools such as Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams
  • Authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available)
