This role is focused on managing the design and delivery path of large data center projects.
You are not doing engineering yourself — you are coordinating engineers, clients, vendors, and budgets.

“The person responsible for making sure the data center gets designed correctly, on time, and within budget.”

🎯 What You Will Actually Do
1️⃣ Manage Data Center Design Projects
Projects include:
- Hyperscale data centers
- Enterprise facilities
- Mission-critical infrastructure
You coordinate:
- Electrical engineers
- Mechanical engineers
- Architects
- Consultants
- Contractors
- Clients
2️⃣ Budget & Schedule Control
You handle:
- Project timelines
- Cost tracking
- Resource planning
- Risk management
- Scope changes
This is core project management work.
3️⃣ Client Relationship Management
A big part of this role:
- Meeting clients
- Understanding requirements
- Converting needs into proposals
- Managing expectations
Strong communication skills are critical.
4️⃣ Technical Coordination
Even though you’re not designing:
You must understand:
- Power systems
- Cooling systems
- Redundancy (N+1, 2N)
- Building systems
- Data center standards
So technical background helps.
🎓 Experience Level
This is typically a mid-senior level role.

- 5–12 years experience
- Engineering or construction background
- Consulting firm experience preferred
