Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is open to qualified international candidates requiring visa sponsorship. Key Responsibilities
• Accurately dispense prescription medications, verify patient information, and review for drug interactions or contraindications.
• Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients, including proper usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to all operational procedures.
• Administer immunizations and other health screenings as per state and federal regulations.
• Maintain strict adherence to all legal and ethical pharmacy practice standards, including HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and resolve medication-related issues.
• Manage inventory, ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products, and handle controlled substances according to regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current with pharmacy best practices.

Required Skills
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain prior to employment).
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of pharmacology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide empathetic patient care.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in pharmacy management software and basic computer applications.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Experience with immunization administration.
• Multilingual abilities, particularly Spanish or other common languages in the community.
• Certification in specific advanced pharmacy practices (e.g., MTM, diabetes education).
