Paralegal – family law

Job Description

Experienced legal assistant or paralegal wanted for thriving family law firm.

Responsibilities:
• Handle full range of tasks in family law litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, case management, calendaring, proofing, service of documents, discovery, and attorney support.
• Back-up reception and new client intake.

• Comfortable with computers & can learn new programs quickly;

• Comfortable managing busy calendar & tasks to ensure deadlines are met;
• Communicates well with supervising attorney to ensure case needs are met;

Hours*:

Schedule for this position is 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Employees may leave at 3:30 p.m. on Fridays unless there is an urgent assignment/due date. Office is closed for all court holidays as well as additional time around major holidays by partner decision.

Note: you may not have any other forms of legal employment during your period of employment with our office.
• Current position allows for part-time remote work 2 days per week following initial training period. Part-time remote options available based on firm needs and subject to change.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $72,000.00 per year
