Job Description

MyEyeDr. is seeking a dedicated and passionate Optometrist to join our thriving practice in Arlington, Virginia. Key Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including medical history, visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision assessments.
• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
• Prescribe and fit contact lenses and spectacles, ensuring optimal visual correction and patient comfort.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients.
• Educate patients on proper eye care, contact lens wear, and the importance of regular eye health check-ups.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with opticians and support staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Stay current with advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education.

Required Skills
• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school.
• Eligibility for state licensure in Virginia (we will assist with the process).
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• A commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practice.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a licensed Optometrist.
• Experience with advanced ophthalmic diagnostic equipment (e.g., OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Specialization or interest in specific areas like dry eye management, specialty contact lenses, or low vision.
• Experience in a fast-paced retail optometry setting.
