This role is designed for a Mid-Level Frontend Developer who is highly focused on quality engineering practices, particularly whitebox QA methodologies such as unit testing, module testing, and integration testing.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mid-Level Frontend Developer who can contribute not only to building modern user interfaces but also ensuring the reliability and correctness of frontend systems through structured whitebox QA practices.

At LATOKEN, this role bridges the gap between development and quality assurance. You will be responsible for writing clean, scalable frontend code while also implementing robust testing strategies that validate application behavior at multiple levels.

The ideal candidate understands that frontend engineering is not just about visuals and interactivity, but also about ensuring predictable behavior, stability under edge cases, and long-term maintainability through automated testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Implement unit tests for components, utilities, and business logic to ensure code reliability
• Design and execute module-level testing strategies to validate feature consistency
• Perform integration testing across frontend services and APIs
• Collaborate with QA engineers to define test coverage and improve automation processes
• Identify potential bugs and edge cases early during development through whitebox testing practices
• Optimize frontend performance and ensure responsiveness across devices and browsers
• Participate in code reviews with a focus on testability, maintainability, and clean architecture
• Work closely with backend engineers to ensure smooth integration of APIs and services
• Contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines with automated test execution and reporting

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in frontend development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
• Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine
• Experience with integration testing tools such as Cypress or similar frameworks
• Good understanding of whitebox testing principles and software testing lifecycle
• Familiarity with API integration and debugging frontend-backend interactions
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code
• Understanding of version control systems like Git
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a distributed engineering team
