Position Overview
As a Legal Graduate Trainee, you will be immersed in the operations of our Legal Team. You will provide dedicated support across regulatory and corporate matters, integrate and manage LegalTech systems, and stay updated on global trends in Fintech and Blockchain. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to a growing organization while learning from experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Time Management & Team Coordination
- Coordinate workflow of Legal Team members using software tools and platforms.
- Maintain diary systems, schedule meetings, and manage task allocation.
- Ensure smooth task distribution and prioritization across the department.
Record Management
- Update company files, prepare and review documents, and provide legal assistance to other teams.
- Attend corporate and team meetings, prepare resolutions, minutes, registers, and certificates.
- Maintain an organized and efficient filing system.
Document Generation & Legal Support
- Assist with regulatory processes, due diligence, audits, and compliance matters.
- Prepare and amend documents related to investors, HR, finance, trademarks, patents, and other legal needs.
- Manage legal software infrastructure such as DocuSign and Ironclad.
- Track limitation deadlines and ensure timely document submission.
- Stay updated on global Fintech, Banking, and Blockchain developments.
- Participate in on-the-job training and support the Legal Team in daily tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Undergraduate degree in Law (minimum 2:1 honours or international equivalent) with corporate law modules.
- Research Proficiency: Ability to conduct comprehensive legal research and stay updated on changes in the legal landscape.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and address compliance, financial crime, and risk issues effectively.
- Adaptability: Adjust to evolving regulatory frameworks and organizational priorities efficiently.
- Time Management: Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in documentation and legal processes.
- Proactivity: Identify legal issues, risks, and liabilities and report to corporate attorneys.
- Cultural Competency: Work effectively within an international, remote team across multiple time zones.
- Industry Interest: Strong interest in fintech, cryptocurrency, or banking is highly desirable.
