💼 Role Overview

You AreUST is seeking a Lead UI Frontend Developer to drive the design, development, and deployment of web applications. The role focuses on high-quality, responsive UI development while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product owners, backend developers, and domain experts. This position involves technical leadership, architecture guidance, and hands-on coding for frontend and backend components.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of frontend applications using Angular, JQuery, Bootstrap, JS, and JSON.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and launch new features.
  • Maintain code integrity, organization, and quality standards across applications.
  • Maintain active relationships with Product Owners to understand business requirements, review designs, and lead requirement-gathering sessions.
  • Own the product backlog and coordinate sprint feature delivery with the team.
  • Conduct technical design reviews and code reviews to ensure best practices.
  • Support overall web application architecture, including integration with backend services and APIs.
  • Ensure applications meet WCAG accessibility standards and follow responsive design principles.
  • Implement solutions leveraging cloud services (AWS or Azure) and DevOps tools (Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jira, Confluence).
  • Apply test-driven development (TDD) practices.

✅ Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in frontend development.
  • Strong experience with Angular, React Native, JQuery, Bootstrap, JS, and JSON.
  • Proficiency with backend/server-side technologies like Node.js or Java.
  • Extensive knowledge of CSS and JavaScript for highly responsive, cross-browser web applications.
  • Experience creating custom Angular modules and reusable components.
  • Strong understanding of web service models and API development (REST, Swagger, JSON).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS.
  • Exposure to Agile and Scaled Agile frameworks.
  • Knowledge of integration scenarios: Message Queues, Kafka, file transfer, web services.
  • Experience with DevOps tools: Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jira, Confluence.
  • Hands-on experience with responsive design, accessibility (WCAG, ARIA), and cross-browser compatibility.
