Job Description

Agoda is seeking a highly experienced Lead Front-End Architect to drive the design and evolution of its global UI architecture. This role focuses on building scalable, high-performance front-end systems that support millions of users across multiple markets.

You will lead architectural decisions, define best practices, and collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences at scale. This is a strategic leadership role requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to mentor and guide engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement front-end architecture for large-scale web applications
  • Lead the development of reusable, scalable UI components and design systems
  • Drive performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals
  • Establish coding standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines
  • Mentor and support front-end engineers across teams
  • Evaluate and adopt modern front-end technologies and frameworks

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong architectural focus
  • Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
  • Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
  • Experience with large-scale, high-traffic web applications
  • Strong knowledge of performance optimization techniques
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
