Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Landscape Architect to join our dynamic and growing team in Columbus, Ohio. Key Responsibilities
• Lead and contribute to all phases of landscape architectural design projects, from conceptualization and schematic design to design development and construction administration.
• Prepare detailed design documents, including site plans, sections, elevations, planting plans, grading and drainage plans, and technical specifications.
• Conduct thorough site analyses, evaluate environmental impacts, and integrate innovative sustainable design principles into all projects.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, urban planners, architects, environmental specialists, clients, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently to ensure successful project delivery on schedule and within budget.
• Present design concepts, technical solutions, and project progress to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams with clarity and professionalism.
• Mentor junior staff, provide guidance on design best practices, and contribute to team knowledge sharing and professional development initiatives.

Required Skills
• Professional degree in Landscape Architecture (Bachelor’s or Master’s from an accredited program).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a professional landscape architecture practice.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and SketchUp.
• Strong understanding of site grading, drainage, planting design principles, and regional plant palettes.
• Excellent graphic, written, and verbal communication skills for internal and external correspondence.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of relevant local zoning codes, environmental regulations, and permitting processes in Ohio or similar jurisdictions.

Preferred Qualifications
• Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) licensure in any U.S. state, or actively pursuing licensure.
• Proficiency in Revit or other 3D modeling and BIM software (e.g., Rhino, Lumion).
• LEED AP or SITES AP certification.
• Experience with GIS software for site analysis and data visualization.
• Prior experience with public engagement processes and facilitating community workshops.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong design sensibilities, technical proficiency, and a diverse project background.
