Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our Italian Pricing & Underwriting Team, the strategic engine behind Prima’s growth.

In this role, you will use data analysis, machine learning, and business insights to support pricing strategies, predict risk, and help maintain a competitive market position. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate analytical insights into impactful business decisions and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply machine learning and advanced analytics to assess risk and optimize pricing strategies.
  • Analyze and interpret complex datasets to support strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute actionable insights that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven initiatives.
  • Support the development and improvement of predictive models for underwriting and pricing.
  • Communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong academic background in:
    • Mathematics
    • Physics
    • Statistics
    • Data Science
    • Computer Engineering
    • Informatics
    • Engineering disciplines or related fields
  • Excellent quantitative, logical, and analytical thinking skills
  • Curiosity, initiative, and innovative mindset
  • Open to all experience levels, including recent graduates

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of programming and machine learning techniques
  • Experience working with large datasets and data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or similar technologies
