Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking talented Java Full Stack Engineers to join our growing team at Cohere, working on mission-critical, fielded systems for the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DoD). You will work in small, Agile teams to design, develop, and deploy secure, cloud-agnostic applications leveraging React, Spring Boot, AWS Lambda, and microservices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement full stack applications with a focus on secure, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Build and maintain frontend applications using React and backend services using Spring Boot.
  • Develop and deploy microservices to AWS EC2 or Tanzu platforms.
  • Design and manage databases including MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Oracle RDS.
  • Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver high-quality software, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Work on mission-critical IC and DoD systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and security.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in Java Full Stack Development.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, React, microservices, and cloud deployment (AWS preferred).
  • Familiarity with databases: MongoDB, DynamoDB, Oracle RDS.
  • Experience in Agile development environments.
  • U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance, preferably TS/SCI + CI Poly or TS/SCI + FSP.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on cybersecurity or mission-critical systems.
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures and cloud-native solutions.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and mentoring junior engineers.
