Job Summary

We are looking for Intermediate Java Application Support Developers to provide application support, maintenance, and enhancements for enterprise health benefits systems. You will work across the entire technology stack, including frontend UI/UX, backend APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure, contributing to high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve Jira tickets based on priority and scheduling.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Enhance performance, scalability, and reliability of existing applications.
  • Design and develop application enhancements under the guidance of team leads.
  • Maintain high-quality, clean, and testable code aligned with specifications and standards.
  • Document applications, deployment steps, and testing procedures.
  • Participate in code reviews and collaborative programming initiatives.
  • Coordinate testing and quality assurance with stakeholders including product owners, project managers, and end-users.
  • Support release management and deploy code releases to UAT, staging, and production environments.
  • Administer users and work queues in Service Management tools.
  • Assist with defining scope, estimates, and development priorities.
  • Provide technical guidance as a knowledge lead for core applications, coding frameworks, and tools.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in Java and familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL.
  • Experience with frameworks such as Spring MVC, Angular, Docker is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AWS services including ELB, ECS/Fargate, ECR, CloudWatch, CodeBuild, S3, and image deployments is preferred.
  • Frontend skills using HTML, CSS, and Webflow are advantageous.
  • Solid problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Strong team player with excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Commitment to high-quality service, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
