KENT® Precision Foods Group, a member of the KENT Corporation family of companies, has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Janitorial Technician! The Janitor Technician performs repetitive work in the Sanitation Department. This position is responsible for all activities in and around the building requiring cleaning and sanitizing. This position is designed and intended to be performed in New Sharon, Iowa.

Responsibilities
• Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) with regards to sanitation.
• Adheres to all company and regulatory product quality, sanitation, food safety, employee, and environmental standards.
• Adheres to company Lock Out Tag Out, and HACCP procedures.
• Cleans offices and laboratories, including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting and mopping.
• Collects all office, warehouse and production trash and places it in the compactor.
• Cleans and sanitizes all restrooms and employee breakroom.
• Routinely sweeps and scrubs warehouse floor utilizing floor scrubber.
• Performs outside plant grounds keeping (sidewalk, assists in snow removal, trash pick-up, etc.).
• Performs weekly checks of rodent stations and records any activity.
• Monitors levels of inventory for break room and cleaning supplies and notifies management of possible shortages.

Requirements
• Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including above head and below the waist for 50% or more of shift.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
