Position Overview

This internship offers hands-on experience in applying data science techniques within the insurance and reinsurance industry while working in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing under the guidance of senior data scientists.
• Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas and analytical insights.
• Conduct research and support the development of data-driven solutions for business challenges.
• Collaborate with team members to build predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
• Communicate findings through reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Support the creation of data visualizations for internal and external audiences.
• Maintain organized documentation of datasets, methodologies, and analysis results.
• Adhere to data governance, security, and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing data processes and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide recommendations.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data science and analytics.
• Complete assigned tasks within project timelines and deliverables.

Qualifications

Required

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in:
  • Data Science
  • Computer Science
  • Statistics
  • Mathematics
  • Engineering or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of Python, R, SQL, or similar programming languages
• Familiarity with statistics and machine learning concepts
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred

• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, etc.)
• Coursework or projects involving machine learning or predictive analytics
• Interest in the insurance or financial services industry
