Role Overview:
We are seeking an Immigration Legal Assistant, Paralegal or Law Clerk fluent in English and Spanish to enhance our team’s capability in providing expert legal assistance. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, exceptional writing skills, and an understanding of U.S. immigration law, to ensure the seamless management of immigration cases and client communications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the complete lifecycle of immigration cases, including document collection, drafting, review, editing, and submission.
• Write legal briefs to be used in support of different types of USCIS filings including O-1, EB-1, EB-2, and more.
• Conduct thorough reviews of applicant information and documentation for completeness and compliance with U.S. immigration requirements.
• Draft compelling and professional Letters of Recommendation (LORs) in both English and Spanish, customizing content to individual cases and immigration criteria.
• Utilize analytical skills for in-depth case evaluations and documentation analysis against U.S. immigration law requirements.
• Maintain and systematically organize case files and client documentation with exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment, delegating tasks to support staff and ensuring consistent updates and communication with attorneys regarding client cases.
• Stay updated on current processing requirements at service centers/consulates and engage in professional development opportunities relevant to the field.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish with excellent written skills in both languages.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to meticulously review and fill out immigration forms accurately.
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting professional documents and strong analytical skills.
• Experience in immigration a plus.
