Job Title: Full-Stack Java Developer with REACT

Job Overview

SAIC is seeking a motivated, career-oriented Fullstack Java Developer to work on a large Enterprise Application Support Program. The role focuses on full-stack development using Java (backend) and React (frontend), building scalable web and batch applications. An active IRS MBI clearance is highly desirable.

The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, participation in Agile methodologies, and delivery of high-quality, secure, and performant applications.

Key Responsibilities

Fullstack Development

  • Design and implement Microservices-based JEE software applications
  • Build highly scalable web and batch applications
  • Develop front-end applications using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Develop back-end applications using Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Core Java, JDBC, SQL, RESTful APIs, and Microservices

Agile & Collaboration

  • Participate in Agile development methodologies and ceremonies
  • Collaborate with teams for requirement analysis, design, development, and testing
  • Use modern software engineering tools for design, development, and testing

API & Database Integration

  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services
  • Integrate backend with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
  • Implement server-side logic and ensure seamless data flow between backend and frontend

Quality & Testing

  • Write and execute unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests
  • Debug and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecks

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or relevant discipline (or 4 years equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of professional experience in:
    • Java backend development (Spring, Hibernate, Core Java, JDBC)
    • Frontend development using React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
    • RESTful APIs and web services
    • Database integration and data management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
    • Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and collaborative mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Security Clearance

  • Ability to obtain IRS MBI (Minimum Background Investigation) Security Clearance
  • Active IRS MBI Clearance is highly desirable
