Job Description

Synchrony is seeking a skilled and passionate Frontend Engineer II to join its Digital Servicing team. The ideal candidate will contribute to building scalable, responsive, and high-performing web applications that enhance customer digital experiences.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, backend engineers, and product managers to develop modern frontend solutions using the latest web technologies. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive web applications and user interfaces
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement modern digital experiences
  • Write clean, scalable, and reusable frontend code
  • Optimize applications for speed, performance, and accessibility
  • Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions
  • Work closely with backend teams to integrate APIs and services

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with React.js or modern frontend frameworks
  • Understanding of REST APIs and frontend-backend integration
  • Knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
  • Familiarity with Git, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD workflows
