Job Description

Harmony Co-op is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Front-End Team Lead to join our growing development team. This role is ideal for professionals who have strong expertise in modern front-end technologies and experience leading development teams in fast-paced environments.

As a Front-End Team Lead, you will be responsible for guiding developers, improving front-end architecture, and collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to create scalable and user-friendly web applications. The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of modern UI/UX practices.

You will play a key role in driving technical decisions, ensuring code quality, and mentoring junior developers while contributing directly to the development process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of front-end developers on various web development projects
• Develop responsive and high-performance user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to transform designs into functional applications
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility
• Review code, maintain development standards, and ensure best coding practices
• Coordinate with backend developers and product teams for seamless project execution
• Participate in technical planning, sprint discussions, and project estimations
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and front-end issues

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Expertise in modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Experience leading or mentoring front-end development teams
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and UI/UX standards
• Familiarity with REST APIs, Git, and modern development workflows
• Experience with performance optimization and debugging techniques
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
