Job Description

Toptal is seeking a talented and experienced Front-End Developer to contribute to the development of a modern two-sided marketplace platform. The selected candidate will work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to create responsive, user-friendly, and scalable web applications.

This role is ideal for developers who enjoy building interactive digital experiences and solving real-world challenges through clean and efficient code. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in modern front-end technologies, component-based architecture, responsive design principles, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive front-end applications for a two-sided marketplace platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement modern UI/UX solutions
  • Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code using modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Optimize application performance for speed, scalability, and accessibility
  • Translate design mockups and wireframes into high-quality web interfaces
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive functionality across devices
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and technical discussions
  • Integrate APIs and backend services into front-end workflows

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in front-end web development
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with React.js or similar modern frameworks
  • Understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first development
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and asynchronous programming
  • Experience with Git and modern version control workflows
  • Knowledge of performance optimization and accessibility best practices
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
