Project Overview

We are building an AI-driven memory book platform where users create tribute books using a “Design & Edit” editor to choose layouts, add content, and generate print-ready books.

We’re looking for a talented front-end developer with strong design skills who can both design new book templates and implement them in code, creating a polished, user-friendly experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement new book templates: covers, interior spreads, photo layouts, and typography-focused designs
  • Improve user flows in the book editor (layout selection, styling, previewing)
  • Ensure visual consistency and polish across the editor experience
  • Work within the existing stack (React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind)
  • Support paged/print-style layout and PDF generation
  • Take ownership of the book editor experience, propose improvements, and implement UI/UX solutions

Requirements / Ideal Fit

  • Strong React, TypeScript, and CSS skills
  • Eye for typography, hierarchy, and print-like layout design
  • Experience with paged media, print CSS, or PDF generation is a plus
  • Portfolio showing projects where you both designed and built the front-end UI
  • Comfortable working independently and proposing design improvements within technical constraints
