Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer / Software Engineer (SE4) to join a long-term project supporting enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies while working within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Java/J2EE web applications
  • Build applications using Spring Framework (Core, MVC, AOP, Batch, Spring Boot)
  • Design and implement REST and SOAP web services
  • Work with messaging technologies such as Kafka and JMS
  • Develop microservices and event-driven systems
  • Integrate and deploy applications using AWS, Azure, or PCF
  • Work with databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
  • Apply Object-Oriented Design principles and design patterns
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation practices
  • Write clean, testable code using TDD/BDD frameworks (Cucumber, etc.)
  • Use monitoring tools like Splunk, CloudWatch, AppDynamics, and Elasticsearch
  • Optimize database queries and application performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in Java / J2EE development
  • Deep knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot
  • Experience building RESTful microservices
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka / JMS messaging
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub)
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Strong debugging and performance tuning skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of frontend SPA frameworks (Angular, React, HTML5)
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture
  • Experience with DevOps practices and automation
