Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Founding Frontend Engineer to lead the development of the Dragonfly Portfolio platform. This role goes beyond execution—you will define the frontend architecture, influence product decisions, and build a scalable, high-performance user interface from scratch.

You will work closely with founders, designers, and backend engineers to deliver a seamless and engaging user experience. The position offers a competitive compensation of $80.00 – $90.00, along with the opportunity to grow with the company at an early stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop a scalable frontend application using modern frameworks
  • Build responsive, high-performance, and visually polished user interfaces
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to translate ideas into functional features
  • Optimize applications for speed, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Establish frontend best practices, coding standards, and workflows
  • Contribute to product strategy and roadmap discussions
  • Mentor future frontend hires as the team grows

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience with React and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and component-based architecture
  • Experience with Next.js or similar frameworks
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and frontend integration
  • Experience with performance optimization and debugging tools
