Job Title: Controller – Home Health

Location: Remote (India)
Work Schedule: US Business Hours (CST)
Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer / Chief Financial Officer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee and manage all financial operations for a US-based Home Health organization. This role is responsible for accounting, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and supporting leadership with financial insights and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in US GAAP, experience working with US healthcare or service-based organizations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with US leadership while working remotely from India during live US hours.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting
• Oversee all accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, tax regulations, and internal company policies.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Management
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Perform variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational and strategic needs.

Leadership & Team Management
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members.
• Build and maintain a high-performing, accountable finance team.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, HR, and Executive Leadership across US and India teams.

Audit, Tax & Compliance
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial partners.
• Manage annual audits and ensure timely tax filings and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local US financial regulations.

Process Improvement & Systems
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Oversee accounting systems and recommend enhancements for better reporting and controls.
• Support ERP/accounting system upgrades or integrations as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform additional duties as assigned related to finance and accounting operations.

Qualifications & Key Competencies
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, CMA,CA or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Minimum 3+ years in a leadership or Controller-level role.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, US taxation basics, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with US payroll, audits, and month-end close processes.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or equivalent.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with US-based stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Work Requirements
• Must be available to work during US business hours (EST/CST).
• Stable internet connection and a quiet remote work setup.
• Comfortable collaborating with US leadership in real time via calls and video meetings.

Physical & Communication Requirements
• Ability to read, write, see, and communicate clearly in English.
• Ability to prepare and review detailed financial documentation and reports.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 – ₹200,000.00 per month
