Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced HCL Domino Developer & Support Specialist to provide ongoing technical support and development for a Domino environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting customer issues, maintaining Domino applications, and implementing enhancements and fixes.
The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional who is comfortable working in a ticket-based support environment and has strong hands-on experience with Domino technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Support & Ticket Management
- Provide Level 2 / Level 3 support for customer issues related to the HCL Domino platform
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving:
- Domino server operations
- Mail and messaging systems
- Notes/Domino applications and workflows
- Replication and connectivity problems
- Performance issues
- Respond to support tickets within defined SLAs
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions clearly
- Escalate critical issues and collaborate with internal teams when necessary
Development & Maintenance
- Develop and maintain Domino applications using:
- LotusScript
- Formula Language
- Java / Java agents (when applicable)
- Perform bug fixes, improvements, and application optimizations
- Support Domino platform upgrades and version updates
- Assist with database architecture including forms, views, agents, and security settings
Administration & Monitoring
- Support Domino server configuration and monitoring
- Manage user access, ACLs, and security roles
- Assist with backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures
- Identify recurring issues and recommend preventive improvements
- Monitor system health and reliability
Documentation & Communication
- Maintain technical documentation for fixes, configurations, and known issues
- Provide clear status updates and resolution summaries
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working with HCL Domino / IBM Lotus Notes
- Strong knowledge of Domino server architecture and administration
- Hands-on experience with Domino application development
- Proficiency with:
- LotusScript
- Domino Designer
- Formula language
- Experience in ticket-based technical support environments
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Knowledge of Domino security, replication, and performance tuning
- Ability to manage multiple issues independently
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
