Cox Automotive is looking for an Entry-Level Software Engineer to become a vital member of our Online Vehicle Exchange engineering team.

Job Summary:

As an Entry-Level Software Engineer, you will contribute to our Online Vehicle Exchange (OVE) platform—a 24/7 online hub for vehicles from Manheim, independent auctions, commercial, and dealer inventory. Dealers can easily search, bid, buy, and make offers on wholesale inventory through our platform, developed using Ruby on Rails and AWS. We monitor our applications with tools like New Relic, Splunk, and PagerDuty.

Our team takes full ownership of the applications we create, encompassing design, development, testing, deployment, and support. We utilize the latest AWS technologies and embrace Agile methodologies to manage technical debt while partnering with Product teams to prioritize business initiatives. Your Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain solutions for our cloud-native OVE application.
• Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance for deployed products.
• Collaborate with your Agile delivery team to nurture a culture of passion, trust, and creativity.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Fundamental understanding and experience with object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of designing and optimizing access to relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native software, particularly with AWS technologies.
• Familiarity with distributed version control systems like Git.
• Experience in an Agile team environment is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship available.

Compensation:

The base salary for this position ranges from $74,000.00 to $111,000.00, varying based on location and individual skills and experience. Additional compensation opportunities may include incentive programs.
